Israeli forces shot at least three Palestinians, including a child, and assaulted a journalist during operations in various parts of the occupied West Bank.
In Beitunia, near the Ofer military prison, a 15-year-old boy was shot in the thigh with live ammunition while near the prison. The Palestinian Red Crescent Society reported that its ambulance crews transported the child to the hospital. Concurrently, soldiers fired concussion grenades at citizens in the area, coinciding with a bus carrying released Palestinian detainees as part of a ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas. No further injuries were reported.
In Beit Furik, southeast of Nablus, Israeli forces detained a 30-year-old Palestinian man, tied him to an olive tree, and shot him in the pelvis at point-blank range with live ammunition. The wounded man was transported to a medical center in Beit Furik and subsequently transferred to the Rafidia Governmental Hospital in Nablus.
Meanwhile, in Hebron, Israeli soldiers stormed the family home of released detainee Imad Abu Ramouz and assaulted journalist Mosab Shawer, causing injuries. Shawer was transported to the Alia Governmental Hospital in Hebron. The army also invaded the family home of released detainee Sidqi Al-Zaro, threatened to re-arrest him, and ordered his family not to raise the Palestinian flag or hold celebrations.
In Al-Lubban ash-Sharqiya village, soldiers opened fire with live rounds, tear gas canisters, and concussion grenades at citizens, detaining and assaulting three Palestinian men. The army also stormed several areas of the southern West Bank city of Hebron, shooting a young Palestinian man in the leg with live rounds; he was transported to a hospital for treatment.
These incidents reflect ongoing concerns regarding the treatment of Palestinians and journalists by Israeli forces in the occupied West Bank. Human rights organizations continue to call for accountability and adherence to international standards protecting civilians and media personnel.
