This Month

In the month of November between the years 2020 - 2024, a total of 68 journalists have been killed. Mainly from Palestine – 41, India – 04, Mexico – 02, Syria – 02, Lebanon – 02, Philippines – 02, Colombia – 02. In addition to other countries such as Afghanistan, Yemen, Iran, etc.

We honor and remember these journalists whose lives have been cut short and whose families have been left shattered.

Don Bolles

Killed by a car bomb in the USA due to reporting on organized crime.

Guillermo Cano

Editor assassinated for stance against the Medellin cartel in Colombia.

Veronica Guerin

Killed by drug lords in Ireland for exposing their operations.

Chancey Bailey

Chancey was killed on March 5, 2008 in USA. His murder was believed to be a targeted killing related to a local gang violence investigation.

Tareq Ayyoub

Died in a U.S. airstrike on the Al Jazeera office during the Iraq War.

Palestinian cameraman shot by U.S. troops in Iraq.

Italian journalist killed by ordnance in Gaza conflict aftermath.

During one of his shows, two men entered his radio station in Brazil, claiming they wanted to place an ad. Once in range of Carvalho, they shot him to death live on air.

Pavel Sheremet

Sheremet was killed in Kyiv, Ukraine, when a bomb exploded under his car as he was driving to record a radio program.

Daphne C. Galizia

Daphne was murdered as she left her home in Bidnija, Malta, when a bomb tore through her car.

Javier V. Cárdenas

Javier was accosted in Mexico as he was leaving the office, and shot at least a dozen times by a drug cartel.
