Israeli occupation forces launched a series of raids across the occupied West Bank on Monday, resulting in the injury of a teenage boy, forced home incursions, and the temporary detention of media personnel.
In Beit Ummar, north of Hebron, soldiers shot a 16-year-old Palestinian in the leg with live ammunition. The Palestinian Red Crescent intervened, provided treatment, and transported him to a hospital for further care.
Elsewhere, in Kafr ‘Ein (north of Ramallah), forces sprayed tear gas and stormed homes, triggering respiratory distress among several residents. Concussion grenades and gas bombs were reported used during the incursion.
In Al-Jib (northwest of Jerusalem), troops launched another operation, employing tear gas against residents, though no injuries were confirmed.
Further north in Qabatia (south of Jenin), soldiers deployed with multiple vehicles, took control of public streets, and opened fire with live rounds amid public protests. Reports of injuries were not confirmed in this location. In neighboring Rummana (west of Jenin), forces moved through the streets, though details of the confrontations remain limited.
During the operations in Jenin, soldiers detained a crew from Palestine TV—including reporter Amina Bilalo, cameraman Tareq Al-Hourani, and driver Mahmoud Abu Sariya—while they covered the unfolding offensive and the refugee camp amid ongoing conflict. The team was held for approximately seven hours, cut off from communication, before being released.
These incursions reflect a broader intensification of military pressure on Palestinian towns in the West Bank, with civilians and press workers caught in the crossfire. The detention of journalists during cover operations underscores the risks faced by media teams attempting to document the situation.
