The 2026 World Press Photo Contest has recognized Filipino photojournalists Aaron Favila and Jes Aznar among its global winners for documentary work on social disruption, conflict, and environmental crises. Aznar’s project “Scam Hub Under Siege” documents a Myanmar cybercrime compound linked to trafficking and exploitation, while Favila’s “Wedding in the Flood” portrays resilience amid severe flooding.
