The Women in Media 2025 conference, held in Suva, Fiji, brought together female journalists from across the Pacific region to address ongoing challenges and advocate for meaningful reforms in the media industry. The gathering served as a crucial platform for discussing gender equality, safety, representation, and the unique obstacles women face while working in media throughout the Pacific.
Journalists, editors, media leaders, and advocates shared personal experiences, research findings, and collective strategies aimed at breaking down systemic barriers that hinder women’s progress in the field.
