September 23, 2025The International News Media Association (INMA) will host its flagship Media Innovation Week 2025 in Dublin from 23 to 26 September, bringing together editors, executives, product leaders, and innovators from across the global news industry. The four-day program will focus on transformation, technology, and the future of storytelling.
The event opens on Tuesday, 23 September, with a study tour of leading Irish newsrooms including The Irish Times, RTÉ, and TheJournal.ie. Early sessions will explore the role of data in deepening audience engagement and how automation and artificial intelligence are reshaping editorial workflows.
On Wednesday, 24 September, the agenda highlights the intersection of newsrooms and creators, asking what traditional media can learn from new storytelling formats. A keynote session on the state of global news media will frame discussions on digital maturity, GenAI’s role in productivity, and strategies to close capability gaps. The day concludes with a networking reception at Dublin’s Medley venue.
The focus on Thursday, 25 September shifts toward monetisation and sustainability, with parallel tracks on consumer revenue and advertising. Sessions will examine pricing models, brand impact on limited budgets, audio and podcast growth, and the potential of agentic AI. Delegates will also attend a gala dinner at the Guinness Storehouse.
The final day, Friday, 26 September, will be forward-looking. Panels will cover engaging younger audiences, leveraging product and technology for newsroom efficiency, and ensuring print, digital, and product strategies remain aligned. Closing drinks with speakers will mark the conclusion of the week.
With its blend of keynote addresses, case studies, study tours, and networking opportunities, Media Innovation Week 2025 offers a unique space to connect, learn, and exchange strategies. It aims to provide participants with actionable insights to strengthen audience relationships, build sustainable revenue, and embrace innovation at scale.
