January 13, 2026The Danish Siddiqui Journalism Award 2026 has officially opened for submissions, inviting entries from journalists for this year’s edition.
The award, organised by the Danish Siddiqui Foundation, seeks to honour journalistic work that reflects the core principles of courage, integrity, empathy, and dedication to truth in reporting — values associated with the legacy of Pulitzer Prize-winning photojournalist Danish Siddiqui.
The call for entries targets journalists across various media formats, including print, digital, photojournalism, and broadcast reporting. Submissions are open to both domestic and foreign correspondents working in India.
Eligibility Criteria
• The award is open to professional journalists working in print, photojournalism, digital storytelling, and broadcast media. Journalists may submit their own work or nominate another journalist’s work.
• Submissions must be original works created by the entrant(s). Plagiarised or derivative work is disqualified.
• Eligible entries should be based on journalism published, broadcast, or posted between January 1, 2024 and December 31, 2024.
• Each journalist may submit a maximum of two entries across all award categories.
Submission Deadline
• The deadline to apply is February 15, 2026.
