April 9, 2026Federal Sentence for Suspected Shooter Highlights Unresolved Questions in Aviva Okeson‑Haberman Killing
Idella “Lupi” Gardner, 38, a Kansas City woman long suspected in the 2021 fatal shooting of KCUR reporter Aviva Okeson‑Haberman, was sentenced to 15 years in federal prison on unrelated drug charges, federal officials said.
