Vigil Honors Palestinian Journalists Killed in Gaza
September 9, 2025Journalist Samira Mohyeddin is set to deliver the 16th annual keynote address for the NB Media Co-op on Tuesday, September 23, 2025—a virtual event titled “The Israel Exception.” This critical talk will address the deepening crisis in journalism triggered by the ongoing genocide in Gaza, spotlighting both the staggering toll on media professionals and the distortions in Western news coverage.
In her keynote, Mohyeddin will confront the harrowing loss of more than 200 journalists in Gaza, decrying the erosion of journalistic standards and credibility amid media silence and bias. She argues that many newsrooms are avoiding this reckoning, allowing such a media crisis to deepen unchecked.
