Gaza suffered yet another deadly blow when an Israeli strike hit the Nasser Medical Complex in Khan Younis, resulting in at least 14 civilian deaths and numerous injuries. Among the victims was Mohammed Salama, an Al Jazeera cameraman, whose death was officially confirmed by the network.
Local sources and media accounts describe a double-tap attack: an initial strike on the hospital’s fourth floor followed swiftly by a second as emergency personnel and civilians rushed in to help the wounded. This pattern underscores the escalating threat to journalists and first responders in Gaza.
An Al Jazeera spokesperson publicly confirmed Salama’s death following initial reports, stating that the network verified he was killed in the Israeli strike. Further media coverage, including from Arab News, noted that among the victims of the strike was the Al Jazeera journalist Mohammad Salama.
A social media statement by Quds News Network also drew attention to Salama’s tragic fate, highlighting that he had been killed in the horrific Israeli attack on Nasser Medical Complex.
Thus, Mohammed Salama, an Al Jazeera cameraman, was one of the journalists fatally targeted in the hospital strike—a lethal verdict confirmed by his employer and corroborated by multiple media outlets.
